There were no injuries immediately reported in a shooting that erupted early this morning in Newark.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 60's block of Thomas Street at around 2 a.m. where officers arrived and launched an investigation after finding a parked vehicle struck by gunfire.
Cops searched the area for injured victims and other property damage but were not able to locate anything else.
The incident is being investigated by the Newark Police Department.
