Authorities Identify Camden Man Killed in Pennsauken Shooting

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Pennsauken Police Chief John Coffey announce a shooting death over the weekend.

Pennsauken Police responded at approximately 2:14 a.m. on Sunday morning to the Woodbine Catering / Night Club in the 1400 block of Route 73 in Pennsauken.

Officers were breaking up a fight on the parking lot between patrons leaving a privately-promoted event when gun shots rang out from the other side of the building.

Officers immediately responded to investigate the gun shots and located the victim, Jamil Henry, 26, of Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds lying on the ground.

He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 6:04 a.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

No arrests have been made at this time.
