Authorities in Atlantic County reported that on Thursday, September 7, Rahmir Brown, 22, of Atlantic City, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, where he must serve 85% of his sentence before being parole eligible for committing second-degree robbery.

According to officials, he was also sentenced to a concurrent five-year term in prison for unlawfully possessing a handgun.

Authorities say the sentence was imposed after Brown pleaded guilty to the crimes in July of this year.

During that guilty plea, officials said, Brown admitted to brandishing a handgun.

Brown also demanded money from a cashier at Joe’s Food Market in Pleasantville on December 4, 2021, officials stated.
