Art Auction to Support Auditorium Renovations at Bergen County School

Demarest, NJ: Prospective bidders are reminded to be in good voice when the Angels in the Arts host their benefit Art Auction on Saturday, September 14th.

This informal, educational evening will be held at the Academy of the Holy Angels, 315 Hillside Avenue in Demarest, between the hours of 7 and 10 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit renovations to the Academy’s auditorium, which is regularly used by all members of the school community.

The auction, an over-21 event, will feature fine artworks presented by Marlin Arts, a family-owned business that is now celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Those who attend will have opportunities to bid on works that represent various genres and price points.

Refreshments will include wine, cheese, coffee, and desserts.

The 7 p.m. preview in the Student Commons will include performances by student musicians, and a chance to speak with the auctioneer. Officials say the auction will follow.

AITA is a parent-run association whose members promote the Academy’s many art-related events, including plays, concerts, and art shows.

During the annual Arts Appreciation Dinner, AITA recognizes graduating seniors who have been involved in the arts.

This organization also presents the Angel Award, a scholarship that honors one graduating senior who has made outstanding contributions to Holy Angels’ arts programs.

AITA is also the driving force behind the successful annual Food Truck & Arts Festival.
