Arrest Warrant Issued for Man Wanted for Allegedly Choking his Girlfriend in Newark

Police officials in Newark issued an arrest warrant for Mr.Juan R. Quinones, 25, of Newark, for aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats under the state’s domestic violence laws.

According to police, on January 13th, a female victim reported to police that Quinones choked her and kept her from leaving a Summer Avenue residence sometime around 11 p.m.

Officials say detectives applied for then obtained a warrant for Quinones’ arrest on charges of assault, terroristic threats, and false imprisonment.

While police are actively searching for Quinones, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.

Quinones is 5’11” tall, weighs 170 lbs. With brown eyes and black hair according to police.
