There is an active search for two males wanted for gas station robberies in Newark and Belleville during the overnight hours.
According to authorities, shortly before 10:33 p.m., Belleville Police were called to the Delta Gas Station located at 127 Belleville Avenue to investigate reports of a robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, police officers were told that two males pulled up to the station in a car and demanded cash from employees.
Police say the suspects took an unknown amount of money before speeding away from the scene.
According to police, the same suspects are wanted for another gas station robbery that occurred in Newark's North Ward.
Police say at approximately 10:39 p.m., police were told that two males held up a cash-only gas station located at 1285 McCarter Highway.
The suspects fled the scene southbound on McCarter Highway after the heist.
There were no physical injuries reported.
