Armed Suspects Attempt to Rob Gentlemen’s Club Valet in Linden

A gentlemen’s club valet was not harmed after an attempted armed robbery in Linden Wednesday evening.

According to authorities, the incident happened just after 9 p.m., where officers responded to Taboo Gentlemen's Club - located in the 2000 block of E. Linden Avenue - for a report of an attempted armed robbery.

Police say the victim, a 31-year-old valet attendant, was approached by two men who brandished a handgun and demanded the keys for valeted vehicles parked in the lot.

The armed suspects ultimately fled on foot east on E. Linden Avenue toward Elizabeth after the victim informed them that he did not have access to the keys according to police.

Officials say the victim was not injured.

Police described the first suspect as a thin white male who is approximately 5'10" and last seen wearing black clothes, a black ski mask and red gloves.

According to police, the remaining suspect is described as a thin, 5'10" tall black male, who wore black clothes, a black ski mask and black gloves.

The incident is under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau, and anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Maurice Rawlins at (908) 474-8480.
