Newark authorities reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident in Newark's Central Ward on Tuesday morning.
Gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 27 Barclay Street around 3:30 a.m., prompting a police investigation.
Units arrived at the scene and found multiple shell casings, but no victims were found during officers' search of the area.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested at this time.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
