Armed Robbery in Bloomfield Prompts Foot Pursuit of Suspects into Newark

Several police agencies were involved in a foot pursuit of armed suspects who committed an armed robbery at a business in Bloomfield on Monday evening.

According to police, the robbery took place at the 7-Eleven located at 122 Blomfield Avenue just before 9 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and were told by the victims that two black males brandished weapons and committed the robbery before running from the scene.

Police reportedly spotted two suspects who fit the description of the suspects and began to chase them eastbound into Newark. Police say one of the males was detained near the Calandra's on 6th Street and Bloomfield Avenue.

It is not clear if the suspect was officially arrested for the crime at this time.

There were no injuries reported.
