Armed Carjacking Leads to Shots Fired; Injuries

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 5:08, p.m. Friday, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 30-year-old male from Paterson sought treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson.

Police officials say based on the initial investigation, the victim was in the area of Godwin Avenue and Summer Street when he was carjacked by three males.

The victim told police that he was able to immediately get away from his attackers' police said.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
