Police in Bloomfield took a Newark resident into custody for allegedly stealing packing in their Township over the weekend.
On Saturday, May 13, police officials said officers responded to the area of North 15th Street on a report of a package theft.
Upon arrival, police said a witness observed a male take a package from the front of the building and flee on a bicycle.
According to police, the witness followed the suspect while simultaneously advising Bloomfield Central Communications of his location.
Officers responded and placed the suspect under arrest.
The suspect, Mr. Christian Pagan, 26, was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
