Bloomfield Police are looking for a suspect who stole a vehicle from a shopping center parking lot that had a dog inside Monday morning.

It happened around 10.30 a.m. at the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Franklin Street.

The driver of a black 2014 Infinity Q50 left the vehicle running with the doors locked, then ran into the store to pick up items.

According to reports, when the driver returned, he was told a male suspect had broken the car's back window and easily driven away.

Police say the thief was accompanied by suspect occupying a red Lexus.

The stolen vehicle has tinted windows with NJ license plate numbers “S80-RBN”.

Police are looking for the owner’s  14-year-old white Maltese named “Baby.”

The emotional support animal was left inside the running vehicle.
