Union County investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal stabbing outside a Linden restaurant earlier this month.

According to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force, Linden Police were called around 10:00 p.m. on November 9, 2025, to T.G.I. Fridays on South Park Avenue after reports of a fight in the parking lot.
When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Erik Kuns of Keyport suffering from a stab wound.
Kuns was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives are now trying to locate a person of interest seen in the area at the time of the stabbing.
He is described as a Black male, roughly 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds, with shoulder-length dreadlocks and a black-and-gray patch beard.
Investigators believe he may go by the name “D” and is thought to be around 50 years old.

During the incident, the individual was reportedly dressed in all black clothing with no visible tattoos and was wearing a pair of Air Jordan 14 “Ferrari” sneakers.
The investigation remains ongoing, and prosecutors are urging anyone with information about the man’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
