Fourteen-year-old Khalani Hamirah Gray has been reported missing, and Newark authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in finding her.
Police say Khalani was last seen around 8:10 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, near Chancellor Avenue and Summit Avenue.
She is described as African American, 5’4” tall, weighing about 160 pounds.
At the time, she was wearing a black and white shirt, a pink sweater, black pants, and black and white Nike sneakers. Her hair is styled in burgundy box braids.
Officials said Khalani’s physical and mental condition are reportedly good, but investigators believe she may have traveled out of state by public transportation to meet friends.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Khalani Hamirah Gray is urged to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
Witnesses are also asked to call 911 immediately if they see her and provide details about location and direction of travel.
