ALERT: Public Assistance Sought in Locating Missing Newark Teen

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is appealing to the community for assistance in locating 16-year-old Micah McLean, who was reported missing on Sunday, October 29. 

Sheriff According to a statement from Director Frage', Micah was last seen at 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, in the 400 block of 18th Avenue.

Standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, he has a dark brown complexion and sports an Afro hairstyle.

At the time of his disappearance, Director Frage' said Micah wore a black long-sleeve shirt, and black shorts over black tights and was carrying a backpack and additional black bags.

Micah is a student at People's Preparatory Charter School and has a history of running away from home.

Director Fragé is urging anyone with information regarding Micah McLean's whereabouts to reach out to the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

 

Sheriff All tips provided to Crime Stoppers are treated confidentially, and those that lead to a resolution could potentially result in a reward.

The community is coming together to support Micah's family in their search for the missing teen, and Director Fragé hopes that with the public's help, they can reunite Micah with his loved ones soon.
