ALERT: Police Search for Missing Senior Man in Newark

Police in Newark request the public’s assistance with the whereabouts of Mr. Winston G. McLawrence, 74, of Newark, who was last seen on the 300 block of South 18th Street on July 13, 2021.

Police said Mr. McLawrence is 5’10” tall, weighs approximately 160 pounds, dark complexion, graying hair, graying goatee-style facial hair, and has brown eyes.

According to police, McLawrence wore a tan shirt with blue jeans and tended to frequent Bergen Street and South Orange Avenue, the 300 block of South 18th Street, and South Orange Avenue and South 19th Street.

Mr. McLawrence has been described as a person that suffers from memory loss and someone that frequently faints.

While police are actively searching for Mr. McLawrence, they seek the public’s assistance so that he can be returned to his family.

Director O’Hara urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr. McLawrence to  call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
