ALERT: Newark Officials Seek Help to Find Missing 10-Year-Old Boy UPDATE: Found Safe

The Newark Public Safety Department, under the guidance of Director Fritz G. Fragé, is making an appeal to the public for assistance in locating 10-year-old Ayaan Khan, who has been reported missing since yesterday, Wednesday, April 10. AdPolice said Ayaan, a resident of North 13th Street in Newark, is known to have left his home around 7:15 p.m., sparking immediate concern for his safety.

Standing 4’6” tall and weighing 70 pounds, Ayaan is described as a frequent runaway, which adds an urgent layer to the search efforts.

The police have released a photo of Ayaan, though it dates back 3-4 years, hoping that members of the community can provide any information on his current whereabouts.

Director Fragé is directly reaching out to anyone who might have seen Ayaan or has any information, however minor it may seem, to come forward.

 

The Newark Police Division has established a 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) for the public to report any sightings or information related to Ayaan’s disappearance. AdThe department emphasizes that all tips received through the Crime Stopper line remain completely confidential and anonymous.

Moreover, information that leads to locating Ayaan could result in a reward, highlighting the importance of community participation in ensuring the young boy’s safe return.
