Police in Newark are reporting that a $35,000.00 arrest warrant has been issued for Yusef Brown, 22, of Newark, in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Avcording to authorities at approximately 6 p.m., a 21-year old male victim was shot in the head multiple times in the area of Bergen Street and Lyons Avenue following a verbal disagreement with the suspect.
The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he is said to be in critical, but stable condition.
As a result of their investigation, detectives have determined that Yusef Brown is a suspect in this shooting.
While police are actively searching for Brown, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.
