92-Year-Old Man Killed in Teaneck Crash

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced that the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Teaneck Police Department are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at the intersection of Windsor and Briarcliffe roads in Teaneck on Saturday, June 25. 

According to Prosecutor Musella, just before 2:00 p.m., the Teaneck Police Department received a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision at that intersection involving two vehicles. 

Upon their arrival, officers discovered Albert Schnellbacker, a 92-year-old male, unconscious and not breathing in one of the vehicles. 

Prosecutor Musella said that Mr. Schnellbacker was transported to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, where he was pronounced deceased. 

The driver of the other vehicle and a passenger were transported to an area hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn O’Reilly.
