78-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Roselle Park

Police in Roselle Park are investigating a pedestrian-motor vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a 78-year-old woman.

 

According to authorities, on Jun. 12th at 1:39 a.m., Roselle Park Police Officers responded to the area of East Westfield Avenue and Pershing Avenue for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers found Lut Kwok Yeung lying unconscious on the ground. Despite efforts of Roselle Park Police, Union County EMS and MONOC Paramedics who performed Advanced Life Support, the victim was transported to Trinitas Hospital where she was later pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.

Officials say the driver of the 2006 Ford F150 pickup that struck the victim remained on scene and is cooperating with authorities.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Roselle Park Police Traffic Bureau and Detective Bureau.
