A pedestrian was struck and killed in Orange last week, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say 76-year-old Leonidas Plasencia was crossing Park Avenue around 5 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by a westbound vehicle near North Center Street.
Investigators noted she was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Plasencia, a resident of Orange, was taken for treatment but died of her injuries later that night at 9:45 p.m., officials said.
The incident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
