68-Year-Old Woman Found Shot on Valentines Day in Paterson

Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting that left a Paterson woman injured Saturday afternoon.

According to Camelia M. Valdes and Patrick Murray, members of the Paterson Police Department responded at approximately 12:40 p.m. on February 14,  to the area of Market Street and Main Street following reports of gunfire.

 

Upon arrival, officers located a 68-year-old female resident of Paterson suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. 

She was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Officials said her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
 

Police also identified a potential crime scene in the area as detectives began their investigation.

 

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
