A three alarm fire tore through a deli early this morning in Cliffside Park.
Heavy fire brought firefighters to the Prime Foods Deli at 556 Anderson Ave. in Cliffside Park just before dawn this morning.
The fire appeared to have started in the rear of the building then traveled up to the roof area, spreading to the front of the establishment.
Residents of an attached apartment building were evacuated as a precaution.
There were no injuries reported, but several firefighters used caution while fighting the blaze due to ice that quickly formed in the street and sidewalk.
Crews took about three hours to bring the blaze under control, but firefighters remained at the scene to extinguish hot spots.
Police closed Anderson Avenue for an extended time..
