28-Year-Old New York Man Shot in Passaic

Passaic County officials reported that at approximately 2:45 a.m. today, Passaic Police responded to the area of 3rd Street and Essex Street in Passaic on shots fired reports. 

Upon arrival, police say they located a potential crime scene and a 28-year-old male Scarsdale, New York resident suffering a non-fatal gunshot wound.

According to The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, the victim was immediately transported to Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic for treatment.

Based upon the initial investigation, the victim was accosted by several unidentified individuals in the area of 3rd Street and Essex Street when he was shot.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
