22-Year-Old Woman Sought for Questioning in Newark Central Ward Shooting

Newark authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate a city woman wanted for questioning in connection with gunfire on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard earlier this month.

According to information released by Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr., investigators are looking for 22-year-old Ms. Torrain Jonelle Walker, of Newark, in relation to a shooting reported on November 16, 2025.

 

Around 4:52 a.m., Newark’s ShotSpotter detection system alerted police to gunfire near Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bloomfield Avenue. 

Responding officers recovered three 9mm shell casings at the scene. 

No additional details about the incident have been released.
