18-Year-Old Shot in Overnight Paterson Gunfire

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 2:50, a.m. Sunday members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 144-146 North Main Street on a report of shots fired.

Officials say upon arrival, police located evidence of a crime scene, but no victim was located.

A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that an 18-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
