Police in Newark are reporting the arrests of 18 men and the recovery of four handguns and $34,000.00 in the July warrant roundup.
According to Newark Police, on July 19th and 20th, 2023, the Newark Police Division arrested the 18 individuals listed below in Newark for outstanding warrants in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, New Jersey State Police, New Jersey Department of Corrections, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, and with the support of University Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services.
These law enforcement agencies apprehended the following individuals:
- Nassir Joseph, 22, was arrested at the 300 block of S. 19th Street, Newark. Wanted for motor vehicle theft.
- Aquil Hubbard, 29, was arrested at Park Place, Newark. Wanted for aggravated assault.
- Ibn Abdul, 19, was arrested at the 300 block of 16th Avenue, Newark. Wanted for Violation of Probation.
- Jahsiah Joffer, 19, was arrested at the 800 block of S. 15th Street, Newark. Wanted for theft.
- Tyree Borns, 36, was arrested at Baldwin Terrace, Newark. Wanted for aggravated assault and weapon possession.
- Tyree Dwyer, 26, was arrested at Bergen Street and Lehigh Avenue, Newark. Wanted for weapon possession.
- Guyliano Laguerre, 46, was arrested at the 700 block of South 12th Street, Newark. Wanted for sexual assault.
- Nafe Sharif, 19, was arrested at the 100 block of Riverside Mews, Newark. Wanted for motor vehicle theft and conspiracy.
- Deandre Parker, 34, was arrested at South 18th Street, Newark. Wanted for armed robbery.
- Dabson Fofana, 20, was arrested at the 200 block of Lehigh Avenue, Newark. Wanted for weapon and CDS possession.
- Brooklyn Nunez, 20, was arrested at Weston Forbes Court, Edison. Wanted for a sex crime in Perry County, PA.
- Yasin Claborne, 19, was arrested at the 200 block of Lehigh Avenue, Newark. Wanted for failure to appear regarding receiving stolen property.
- Saidou Sodre, 34, was arrested at the 200 block of Westfield Avenue, Roselle. Wanted for motor vehicle theft.
- Sinali Sylla, 32, was arrested at the 300 block of Avon Avenue, Newark. Wanted for motor vehicle theft.
- Yamir Brinson, 20, was arrested at the 200 block of 3rd Street, Newark. Wanted for weapon possession.
- Mohamaid Soumahoro, 20, was arrested at the100 block of 1st Street, Newark. Wanted by Hamilton Police for an outstanding warrant.
- Themogo Konate, 24, was arrested at the 100 block of 1st Street, Newark. Wanted for motor vehicle theft. Konate is also suspected of fraud.
- Amadou Balde, 23, was arrested at the 100 block of 1st Street, Newark. Wanted for motor vehicle theft.
These charges are merely accusations.
Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
