A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday evening by a Camden County officer that was responding to a call.
According to preliminary reports, a Camden County Police officer was near the intersection of State Street and Harrison Avenue with the vehicle’s lights activated when the officer struck a 17-year-old female.
Officials say the unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to authorities, the identities of the Camden County Metro officer and the victim are not being released. No additional Information is being released at this time.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
