16-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck by Car in Roselle Park

A 16-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle as she rode her bicycle on a street in Roselle Park in late June.

According to police, on June 30th, at approximately 2:37 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of E. Grant Avenue on a report of a bicyclist struck by a passing motorist.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 16-year-old female, bicyclist struck by a 2009 Honda operated by a 28-year-old Roselle Park resident.

Police said the vehicle appeared to be traveling eastbound on E. Grant Avenue at the time when the bicyclist entered the roadway resulting in the crash.

The victim was transported to University Hospital suffering non-life threatening.

No summonses were issued to the driver.

The incident is under investigation by the Roselle Park Traffic Unit.
