The Roselle Park Police Department announced that a 14-year-old teen is allegedly behind social media posts involving unspecified threats against borough schools by a clown.
Police in Roselle Park initiated an investigation into several postings on social media informing of unspecified threats involving a clown and the Roselle Park Schools.
According to police, as a result of the investigation into a social media posts, a 14-year-old Roselle Park resident was identified as the individual responsible for the post.
The juvenile was processed and released into the custody of a guardian sometime around 4:30 this afternoon.
The post has since been removed, according to police.
