13 Years Later, Fingerprints Lead to Arrest of Jersey City Burglary Suspect

A 38-year-old Camden man was charged with the burglary of a Jersey City home back in 2005.

According to authorities, Valentine Ramos, 38, on Jan. 11, 2005, entered a Van Nostrand Avenue home in Jersey City through a rear kitchen window and stole approximately $2,500 worth of jewelry.

An investigation into the burglary yielded fingerprints which police ultimately matched to Ramos.

Officials say Ramos appeared in court Thursday via video link from the Hudson County Jail in Kearny where was ordered released pending trial.

According to authorities, Ramos has been charged with burglary and theft.
