Authorities from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a crash that left a man dead in Newark.
A spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office has identified the victim as Coleman Rodgers, 52, of Fanwood.
Authorities said Rodgers was pronounced on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at 3:15 p.m. at University Hospital.
The vehicle that Rodgers was occupying was involved in a violent crash on Irvine Turner Boulevard and West Bigelow on January 12, 2016 shortly before 2:30 p.m. authorities said.
The spokesperson said the investigation is continuing.
