Authorities in Elizabeth are investigating a crash that injured two people on the NJ Turnpike overnight.
Rescue crews rushed to the northbound side of the Turnpike just north of exit 13 in Elizabeth shortly before 1 a.m.
Crews arrived to the scene where they located the two-car crash that had two people suffering injuries.
EMS transported both victims to University Hospital in Newark where one of the victims endured serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
