An investigation is ongoing after a woman was shot during a large fight that broke out at a Neptune Township party Friday night.
Police responded to the VFW hall on Route 33, after a 911 call reported a large fight at that location around 12:28 a.m., according to Charlie Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Upon arrival, police found the victim, a 20-year-old woman, on Myrtle Avenue in Asbury Park suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
