An early morning crash that happened on the Pulaski Skyway in Newark sent several people to the hospital.
First responders rushed to the crash scene located on the southbound side of the highway at Raymond Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m. where they arrived to find several vehicles badly damaged at that location.
Crews closed off a portion of the roadway to traffic as they removed patients from the crash scene.
According to reports, about four people were taken to University Hospital in Newark where none of their injuries were considered life threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
In a separate early morning crash in Newark, rescue crews rushed to the eastbound side of Rt. 22 near Meeker Street for a single car crash that caused non-life threatening injuries shortly before 5 a.m.
The crash caused about two miles of bumper to bumper delays on the highway.
Expect some residual delays for the morning rush.
