Separate overnight crashes sent several people to the hospital in Newark.
The image to the left of your screen is showing an overturned vehicle that crashed on Raymond Boulevard at Raymond Plaza East at around 3:30 a.m. where the occupants self-extricated then fled the scene on foot.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Rt. 22 at Frelinghuysen Ave., rescue crews rushed to the scene of a crash where at least one person had to be rushed to University Hospital suffering serious injuries. Rescue crews extricated the victim from the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Police are investigating a crash that happened on the southbound side of Rt. 1&9 near Budweiser where two people were pulled from a vehicle injured at that location at around 3:15 a.m..
Both victims were transported to University Hospital one suffering serious injuries while the other suffering minor injuries.
According to hospital officials, a third person arrived by private vehicle to the hospital suffering minor injuries.
Newark Police are handling the investigation.
