Newark emergency responders rushed to the scene of a pedestrian accident Saturday morning that left one person unconscious with a head injury.
The incident occurred around 10:57 a.m. November 7, near the intersection of Lehigh Avenue and Bergen Street in the city’s South Ward.
According to preliminary reports, Newark firefighters requested an expedited EMS response after finding the pedestrian unconscious but breathing, with a laceration to the head.
The victim’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the collision have not been released.
The extent of the victim’s injuries and current condition remain unconfirmed.
