Summit residents and families looking to celebrate Thanksgiving with neighbors are invited to enjoy a free holiday meal and afternoon of activities as the city prepares for its annual community Thanksgiving gathering.

According to city officials, the celebration will take place Thursday, November 26, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Summit Community Center, located at 100 Morris Avenue.

Guests will be treated to a catered Thanksgiving dinner featuring roasted turkey, traditional holiday side dishes, pies, desserts, coffee and other beverages.

Beyond the holiday meal, attendees can enjoy touch football, open gym activities, a Thanksgiving-themed family movie and arts and crafts for children.

The event is free and open to everyone, with no advance registration required.
