Authorities are investigating a serious overnight crash that left a vehicle overturned on Interstate 78 in Bedminster, Somerset County, early Monday morning.
According to preliminary emergency reports, responders were dispatched to the eastbound lanes near milepost 27.5 shortly before 1:30 a.m. following reports of an overturned vehicle.
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene reportedly began performing CPR on at least one individual. Additional medical assistance was requested.
By approximately 1:42 a.m., reports indicated that the eastbound lanes had been closed to allow emergency crews to investigate the crash.
The extent of the injuries has not been officially confirmed.
Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate possible delays and use caution while emergency operations continue.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Additional information is pending from New Jersey State Police.
