Newark

Good morning, New Jersey, and welcome to Monday!

We are waking up to clear skies and another chilly morning across Newark and the North Jersey region as we kick off a brand-new week.

It is currently 52 degrees in downtown Newark, and while there’s still a chill in the air, the good news is that those winds aren’t nearly as strong as yesterday.

Even better, we’re looking forward to a beautiful afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a nice warm-up!

Compared to the weekend, we’re starting off a little warmer in Newark, but some of our neighbors are still feeling that early morning chill.

Around the region, Linden is checking in at 43 degrees, West Orange at 42, Kearny at 44, Hoboken at 49, and Trenton at a chilly 41 degrees.

So, depending on where you’re waking up this morning, you may still need that jacket heading out the door!

According to the National Weather Service, we’re expecting sunny skies today with a high near 70 degrees. West winds will remain light at 3 to 7 mph.

Tonight, skies will stay mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 50 degrees.

So, Jersey, we’re starting the week on a beautiful note! A little chilly this morning, but plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures are on the way.

Have a wonderful Monday, New Jersey! Make it a great start to your week! ❤️
