Authorities are investigating a serious pedestrian accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Newark, leaving one person with severe, life-threatening injuries.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of North 6th Street and Bloomfield Avenue at approximately 2:13 a.m. following reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Emergency crews arriving at the scene reportedly found the victim suffering from traumatic injuries and in cardiac arrest.
The victim's condition remains critical, according to initial reports.
Authorities have not released the victim's identity or provided additional details surrounding the circumstances of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
