A Pleasantville man is facing five years in New Jersey State Prison after admitting to possessing cocaine and fentanyl with the intent to distribute following a traffic stop in Atlantic City.

According to information released by authorities, Jonathan G. Lopez, 35, pleaded guilty on Monday, October 19, 2026, before Superior Court Judge Ralph Palone.
The charges stem from a December 8, 2025, traffic stop conducted by Atlantic City police officers for motor vehicle violations.
Authorities said Lopez was a passenger in the vehicle when a police K-9 alerted officers to the possible presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search uncovered a bag containing a substantial quantity of suspected drugs on the passenger-side floor.
Investigators said Lopez acknowledged that the drugs belonged to him and admitted to carrying additional narcotics on his person.
