Authorities are investigating a serious pedestrian accident reported early Sunday morning in Irvington that may have claimed a life.
The following incident was reported around 3:19 a.m. on October 18, near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Frederick Terrace.
Emergency responders arriving at the scene reportedly found a pedestrian pinned beneath a vehicle, prompting a response from medical personnel.
Initial reports indicated that the victim had suffered critical injuries, with emergency medical personnel preparing to pronounce the individual deceased once the victim was removed from beneath the vehicle.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, and authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
