New Jersey

New Jersey high school seniors preparing to graduate in 2027 have an opportunity to receive financial assistance for college through a scholarship program recognizing academic dedication, strong character and community involvement.

According to information released by the New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF), applications are now being accepted for the 2027 Areté Scholarship, offered in partnership with ADP.

The scholarship draws inspiration from the ancient Greek principle of Areté, which emphasizes personal excellence, integrity and the pursuit of one’s highest potential.

NJHOF officials said the program is designed to recognize students who demonstrate determination, leadership and a commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.

Applicants are encouraged to highlight their academic accomplishments, personal challenges they have overcome and contributions that reflect pride in New Jersey.

Alexandra Genova, NJHOF Director of Educational Programs, said the scholarship recognizes more than classroom success, placing importance on students’ perseverance, values and motivation to achieve their goals.

Students must submit their applications between October 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027.

Required materials include an academic transcript and two letters of recommendation.

According to NJHOF officials, selected scholarship recipients will be notified in May 2027.

Students interested in applying can visit the official Areté Scholarship application page or obtain additional information through NJHOF Scholarships.

Questions and confidential recommendation letters may be emailed to arete@njhalloffame.org.
