Newark Public Safety officials are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this month.

According to information released by Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., police responded to the 700 block of South 10th Street near Madison Avenue at approximately 12:55 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, following reports of gunfire.
Officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred but did not locate a victim at the scene.
As part of the investigation, detectives determined that a Black male wearing a white tank top was walking southbound on Clinton Avenue when he allegedly pointed and fired a weapon at a man riding an e-bike in the area.
Police are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
