A Brick Township man wanted on a charge connected to an ongoing Toms River murder investigation surrendered to authorities Tuesday morning, according to Ocean County officials.
According to information released by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, Ronald Hagan, 50, surrendered to the Toms River Township Police Department in the presence of his attorney.
Hagan was charged September 24 with hindering the apprehension of another in connection with the investigation into the whereabouts of 51-year-old Douglas Cobb of Toms River.
Authorities have charged Cobb with the September 18 murder of 42-year-old Bruce Gress of Toms River.
A warrant for Hagan’s arrest was issued when he was charged on September 24.
Following his surrender, Hagan was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where officials said he remains pending a detention hearing.
