It is chilly this morning as we wake up across the North Jersey region.
Good morning, Jersey, and welcome to Tuesday! 
If you’re up at 4:30 a.m. like we are with the early birds, it is currently around 60 degrees in downtown Newark.
We’re waking up to cloudy and damp conditions, with some light precipitation falling across portions of North Jersey.
Nothing particularly heavy early this morning, but the wet stuff is definitely around, so keep that in mind before heading out.
Temperatures have dipped into the 50s in several communities, making it feel noticeably cooler outside.
Morristown is around 55 degrees, while other locations across the region are hovering in the mid-to-upper 50s. Up in Sussex County, temperatures are near 50 degrees.
With plenty of clouds hanging around today and limited sunshine expected, temperatures won’t have much of an opportunity to warm up.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly cloudy with a high near 66 degrees. Northeast winds will be around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Tonight will remain mostly cloudy and cool, with a low around 53 degrees. Northeast winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
Grab a light jacket and keep the umbrella nearby as you head out this morning.
