A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning on Route 130 in Burlington County.
Preliminary information indicated emergency crews responded to the area of 4267 Route 130 shortly after 2 a.m. following reports of a pedestrian struck.
Initial reports indicated the pedestrian suffered severe injuries, prompting a request for a medical helicopter. The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved was transported by EMS to a local hospital with injuries that were not immediately known.
Authorities closed lanes in both directions of Route 130 while investigators worked at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian and the circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been released.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
