Union County officials will gather Friday morning to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with a memorial service and plaque unveiling in Mountainside.
According to information released by Union County, Chairman Joseph C. Bodek and the Union County Board of County Commissioners will host the ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Union County 9/11 Memorial in Echo Lake Park.
The observance will honor the 60 Union County residents who lost their lives in the attacks, as well as the first responders and countless others whose lives were forever changed by the events of September 11.
The memorial service and plaque unveiling will take place Friday, September 11, at 11 a.m. at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside.
