Good morning and happy Sunday!

We’re waking up to cloudy, cool conditions across Newark and the North Jersey region at 4:30 am, following a comfortable overnight that was perfect for opening the windows and letting in some fresh air.

It’s currently around 66 degrees in Newark, with the clouds expected to gradually give way to sunshine as the morning progresses, setting us up for a beautiful, almost early fall-like Sunday.

If you’re heading out for early morning church services or other activities, depending on where you are in North Jersey, you could encounter a brief pop-up shower. However, today will certainly not be a washout.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of showers between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies will become mostly sunny with a high near 74 degrees and north winds around 5 to 7 mph.

The chance of rain is just 20 percent.

Tonight will remain mostly clear and comfortable, with temperatures falling to around 59 degrees.

Overall, it’s shaping up to be a pristine Sunday across the region, with plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the day.

Have a wonderful Sunday, New Jersey!
